        | The Intro in to me ! | The points of view for good Life | | Hello, my name is Alex. I was born in Cameroon where I spent most of my Teens years. We are located in Douala. This town, the financial capital cameroons, is an old business town situated between nigeria west coast and yaounde(the political capital of Cameroon). Douala, "Gateway to the Cameroon", with its brightly colored market and Museum containing the cultural and artistic heritage of the Cameroon. Douala is conveniently close to the beaches of Kribi (the Perl of the Coast) and the brown sand beach of Limbe. Cameroon's estimated 250 ethnic groups form five larger regional-cultural ups: (1) western highlanders (or grasslanders), including theBamileke, Bamoun, and many smaller entities in the Northwest (est. 38% of population); (2) coastal rain forest peoples, including the Bassa, Douala, and many smaller entities in the Southwest (12%), (3) southern rain forest peoples, including the Beti, Bulu (subgroup of Beti), Fang (subgroup of Beti), and Pygmies (officially called Bakas) (18%); (4) Predominantly Islamic peoples of the northern semi-arid regions (the Sahel) and central highlands, including the Fulbe, also known as Peuhl or Fulani (14%); and (5) the "kirdi," non-Islamic or recently Islamic peoples of the northern desert  and central highlands (18%). The people concentrated in the Southwest and Northwest Provinces (around Buea and  Bamenda) use standard English and "pidgin," as well as their local languages. In the three northern provinces (around Adamaoua, Garoua, and Maroua), either French or Fulfulde, the language of the Fulani, is widely spoken. Elsewhere, French is the  principal second language, although Pidgin and some local languages, such as Ewondo, the dialect of a Beti clan from the Yaounde area, are also widely spoken. Cameroon is still the only African nation where French and English are both official languages. Although Yaounde is Cameroon's capital, Douala is the largest city, main seaport, and main industrial and commercial center.    The western highlands are the most fertile in Cameroon and have a relatively healthy environment in higher altitudes. This region is densely populated and has intensive agriculture, commerce, cohesive communities, and historical emigration pressures. From here, Bantu migrations into eastern, southern, and central Africa are believed to have originated about 2,000 years ago. In this century, many western highlanders have migrated to towns elsewhere in Cameroon, such as the coastal provinces, where they form much of the business community. Personaly I lived most of my childhoodwhere overseas in Europe and around the world. Please don't ask really where I come from, then i will certainly answer you: Cameroon, However I consist seriously of several and differents cultures. A part of me is German ! european and another part is african, specially camerounian. I altougth love my cameroon.   Keep the following in mind: Camerounians are damned to be tolerant. Why ? More than 250 ethnics groups are living one another in this country. Don't think, you fly to cameroon and nobody will understand you, you're wrong.  You will at least at one camerounian who speak your language (German, French, English, Chinese, japanese, ..., I don't know what ?). There are no war till to day in this country, only because people know that.
